Bayer Properties Completes $70 Million Restoration of Mixed-Use Property in Birmingham

Birmingham, Ala. — Bayer Properties celebrated the grand opening of The Pizitz on Friday, a $70 million mixed-use redevelopment located in Birmingham.

The property — formerly home to the Pizitz Department Store — is occupied by a 13-stall food hall surrounding a central bar named The Louis, retail including Warby Parker, six floors of one- and two-bedroom apartments titled The Residences at The Pizitz, 13,000 square feet of office space, two 100-seat theaters and classrooms for educational programs. The property also features a courtyard for outdoor dining and events and a seven-story, 300-space parking deck. The multifamily portion of the property offers amenities including a rooftop pool and fitness center.
