MPI Names New Officers

New York — Executives will continue the private firm’s integration of investment and operations.

New York  — MPI has promoted Andrea Olshan to chief executive officer; Michael Makinen to chief operating officer; and Ryan Guheen to senior vice president of asset management.

Prior to the appointment to CEO, Olshan served as MPI’s chief operating officer and was responsible for operations of the company portfolio, investment activity and external fund investments. During her tenure, the company has developed or acquired more than $2 billion of income-producing real estate including retail, residential, hotel and office assets. Olshan replaces David Lukes.

Now in the role of COO, Makinen will be responsible for day-to-day operations, leasing, research, marketing and development across MPI’s portfolio. Makinen was formerly the senior vice president of asset management, overseeing operations of MPI’s Town Center Portfolio. He is replaced by Guheen, who will be responsible for the operations and leasing of core retail properties as well as identifying development and redevelopment opportunities.
