Danbury, Conn. — Target is set to backfill a former Sears location at Danbury Fair, a regional mall located 55 miles outside New York City in Danbury. The 126,000-square-foot, two-level store will be the company’s first in Danbury. Danbury Fair is home to 180 retailers and restaurants including Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Primark, Apple, lululemon, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Urban Outfitters, LL Bean, The Cheesecake Factory, Golf Lounge 18 and Shake Shack. A projected opening for the new location was not announced. Target also recently backfilled a former J.C. Penney location at Macerich’s Kings Plaza development in Brooklyn.
