Los Angeles — Upgrades follow $35 million overhaul on the historic centert.
Los Angeles — Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza has completed a multi-million dollar renovation of the center’s Macy’s store. The renovation comes on the heels of a $35 million upgrade of the mall, which dates back to 1947. The mall upgrades include new movie theaters, dining court and restuarants.
The Macy’s renovation included new paint, carpeting, white floor tiles, contemporary lighting and displays throughout the three-story store. Next month, the main entrance on the first floor will undergo a remodel that will include new furnishings, plants and colored concrete. In addition to the physical upgrades, Macy’s has added new departments and clothing lines. The shopping center is owned by Capri Capital Partners.
