Sandy Springs, Ga. —CHEF’STORE has signed a 28,000-square-foot lease in Sandy Springs, a northern suburb of Atlanta. The retailer, which caters to food industry professionals and at-home chefs, will occupy space within City Center Crossing, a 98,048-square-foot shopping center. First National Realty Partners (FNRP) is the landlord. The store, which is scheduled to open this year, marks the first in metro Atlanta for CHEF’STORE. FNRP purchased City Center Crossing in 2021. Other tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, Gold Fish Swim School and Hudson Grille.

New York City — Hobby Lobby has opened a 42,000-square-foot store in on Staten Island in New York City. This marks the first location in the city for the brand, which has a portfolio of more than 1,000 stores throughout the US. Brian Katz and Daniel D. DePasquale of Katz & Associates represented Hobby Lobby with Graeme Keith of The Keith Group in the lease negotiations. Brookfield Properties is the landlord.

Charlotte, N.C. — Two retail tenants have signed leases at Oakhurst Commons, a 135,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Charlotte. New fitness concept The Health Club will occupy 15,000 square feet. Ilios Crafted Greek will also open a 2,400-square-foot restaurant. MDH Partners and Parkway Partners are the landlords of the property, which is currently 50 percent leased. Charles Thrift and Thompson Brock of Thrift Commercial Real Estate Services manage retail leasing at the development.

Vancouver, Wash. — Retailer MINISO has signed a 3,572-square-foot lease at Vancouver Mall in Vancouver, roughly 10 miles outside Portland. Scheduled to open in early spring, the store will be located adjacent to Forever 21. Established in 2013, the brand is known for toys and plushies, beauty products, home goods, fragrances and electronics.

Balboa-Surf-Club-Post-Oak-Plaza_Houston

Houston — Three new tenants have opened at Post Oak Plaza, a shopping center located in Houston. Retailers Arhaus, Kohler and Bassett Furniture now occupy 22,201; 4,036; and 9,597 square feet at the property, respectively. Other tenants at the center, which was 98 percent leased at the time of the openings, include Nando’s PERi PERi, Balboa Surf Club, Bluestone Lane, il Bracco and Kenny & Ziggy’s. LEVCOR is the landlord of Post Oak Plaza. Brittney Austin, Linda Rubiola and Rand Horowitz of Shop Cos. represented LEVCOR in the lease negotiations.

Salem, N.H. — Retailers Anthropologie and FP Movement, the activewear branch of Free People, have signed leases at The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem. Anthropologie will occupy 8,000 square feet, and FP Movement will occupy 2,125 square feet. Scheduled to open this fall, the stores will mark the first in the state for both brands. Simon is the owner and landlord of the property.

Lewisville, Texas — Eight new food-and-beverage concepts have signed leases at The Realm at Castle Hills, a 324-acre mixed-use development currently underway in Lewisville in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. Upon completion, the project will feature 1.5 million square feet of retail, office and restaurant space, in addition to multifamily units, a boutique hotel and an outdoor entertainment district. Alpharetta, Ga. — Japanese ramen chain Kyuramen has opened a new restaurant in Alpharetta, a suburb of Atlanta. Totaling 4,200 square feet, the space can accommodate up to 110 guests. This marks the third location in the state for the brand, which currently operates 26 stores throughout the U.S., with plans to open 100 more restaurants by the end of 2024.

Atlanta — Five new tenants have signed leases at High Street, a $2 billion mixed-use district currently underway in Atlanta. The retailers will open within the first phase of the development, which will comprise 150,000 square feet of retail space. Eatertainment concept Jaguar Bolera will occupy 21,500 square feet, and restaurants Nando’s PERi-PERi and Velvet Taco will occupy 3,300 and 2,300 square feet, respectively.
