Broomfield and Loveland, Colo. — Prism Places and McWhinney have announced plans to partner on the development of two mixed-use projects in metro Denver. Both projects will be situated within master-planned communities currently underway by McWhinney.
The first property, Center Street, will be located within the 1,100-acre Baseline community in Broomfield, roughly 20 miles northwest of Denver. Upon completion, the project will total 312,000 square feet, including 231,500 square feet of retail, restaurant and grocery space. Michael Hsu Office of Architecture will design Center Street, which will also feature office space and 400 residential units.
Avenue South, the second project, will be located in Loveland, approximately 50 miles north of Denver. Situated in the Baseline 3,000-acre master-planned community, the property will comprise 326,000 square feet. AO will design the project. In addition to 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, Avenue South will feature office space and more than 1,750 residential units.
The groundbreaking for Avenue South is scheduled for November 2025, and the groundbreaking for Center Street is planned for September 2026.
McWhinney and Prism Places previously partnered on the redevelopment of Foothills Mall in Fort Collins, Colorado.
