Fontana, Calif. — Progressive Real Estate Partners has signed a new lease with Crazy Boss Big Discount Store at Vineyard Valley Center, a 285,000-square-foot retail center in Fontana. Located at 17099 Valley Blvd., the discount store will open this fall in a 103,157-square-foot anchor space that was formerly occupied by Kmart. Additional tenants at the center include Food 4 Less, Big Lots and dd’s Discounts. Atlanta — Puttshack is set to open at High Street, a $2 billion, 36-acre mixed-use development located on the northside of Atlanta. GID Development Group is developing High Street and inked the lease with Puttshack — the first anchor tenant to be announced for the project. Waltham, Mass. — Floor & Décor will open a 70,000-square-foot store at 80 Second Ave. in the western Boston suburb of Waltham on Thursday, Sept. 23. The store, which will be the retailer’s third location in Massachusetts, will include warehouse space and a design center. Floor & Décor has hired about 50 full- and part-time associates to work at the store.
Alexandria, Va. — Wegmans Food Markets Inc., a 106-store supermarket chain based in Rochester, N.Y., plans to open a new store at Carlyle Crossing, a 1.7 million-square-foot mixed-use development underway in Alexandria. Located just off Eisenhower Ave. at 150 Stovall St., the store is scheduled to open in spring 2022. The store will employ approximately 450 people, with 150 full-time positions offered. Minneapolis — The Telos Group and 601W Cos. have received $250 million in financing for The Dayton’s Project, a historic redevelopment of 700 Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. The 12-story property was previously occupied by Dayton’s department store, which rebranded as Macy’s in 2004 before closing its doors in 2017. The 1.2 million-square-foot project will include office space, 200,000 square feet of dining and retail, and a 45,000-square-foot food hall and market. Detroit — Meijer is scheduled to open its new Rivertown Market in Detroit’s East Jefferson Corridor on Wednesday, Oct. 6. This will be the fourth neighborhood market opened by Meijer and the second in metro Detroit. The small-format grocery concept is focused on bringing a mix of local, fresh food and value to customers in the area. The 42,000-square-foot store will include an assortment of fresh and prepared foods, including bakery items, fresh meat and deli offerings. St. Peters, Mo. — Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant has purchased a nearly two-acre site at The Shoppes of Mid Rivers in St. Peters, a northwest suburb of St. Louis. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately on the 10,000-square-foot restaurant and bar with a planned opening for next spring.
