Brookfield Properties Opens Retail, Dining Portion of Fifth + Broadway in Downtown Nashville

Nashville, Tenn. — Brookfield Properties has opened the retail and dining component of Fifth + Broadway, a six-acre mixed-use project in downtown Nashville. Brookfield and local developer Pat Emery partnered on the development.  Designed by Gresham Smith and Gensler, the newly opened portion of Fifth + Broadway features 200,000 square feet of restaurants and retail space, along with parking garages that hold 2,145 cars. Automotive Retailer to Open $30 Million Fulfillment Center, Dealership in Tampa Bay Area

Brandon, Fla. — HGreg.com, a pre-owned automotive retailer, has expanded to a 10-acre property in the Tampa Bay Area. The retailer plans to open its new regional fulfillment center and dealership in Brandon this spring. Construction costs are estimated at more than $30 million. Located at 1207 E Brandon Blvd. in Hillsborough County, the new facility will feature a 42,000-square-foot building, a showroom and an inventory of more than 1,000 pre-owned vehicles. Branch Properties, Merganser Enterprises to Develop Publix-Anchored Center in Milton, Florida

Milton, Fla. —  Branch Properties and Merganser Enterprises LLC are set to break ground on a Publix-anchored shopping center in Milton known as Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates. The 66,921-square-foot shopping center is slated for completion in April 2022. The property will include a 46,811-square-foot Publix, two additional buildings totaling 20,110 square feet of retail space and a 1.3-acre outparcel with up to 7,500 square feet of retail space. Branch Properties and JLL’s Emily Miller are currently pre-leasing space at Merganser Commons.

JLL Secures Construction Financing for Publix-Anchored Center Near Fort Myers, Florida

Babcock Ranch, Fla. — JLL Capital Markets has secured construction financing for the development of Crescent B Commons, an 82,640-square-foot, Publix-anchored neighborhood shopping center in Babcock Ranch, a new town situated northeast of Fort Myers. Tarik Bateh and Jennifer Swanson of JLL arranged the loan through Ameris Bank on behalf of the developer, Kitson & Partners. Construction on the center began in August 2020 and is slated for completion in summer 2021. Gulf Coast Commercial Unveils Plans for 38,000-Square-Foot Retail Redevelopment Project in Houston

Houston — Gulf Coast Commercial Group has unveiled plans for The Common, a project that will redevelop a retail strip center in one of Houston’s Opportunity Zones into a 38,000-square-foot lifestyle hub. Houston-based Schooley Design is the architect of the project, which will feature multiple retail and restaurant concepts, as well as a central common area for events. Construction is scheduled to begin in March and to be complete in the fall.

Branch Properties Signs New Retailers to Join Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody, Georgia

Dunwoody, Ga. — Branch Properties has signed several new restaurants and healthcare tenants at Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody. The upcoming Publix-anchored development, located on Ashford-Dunwoody Road, is expected to open this October. The new tenants at Perimeter Marketplace will include burger chain BurgerFi, salad restaurant chain Chop’t, Panda Express, Aspen Dental, One Medical and First Watch, a daytime café. Perimeter Marketplace will also include a QuikTrip gas station. Upon completion, Perimeter Marketplace will feature 68,077 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Miami — Target has signed a 77,000-square-foot lease as part of Terra’s CentroCity mixed-use redevelopment located at 3825 NW 7th St. in Miami. Construction is expected to start this summer.
