Braselton, Ga. — Branch Properties has acquired a site in Braselton for the development of Braselton Village, a 70,987-square-foot retail center. A 48,387-square-foot Publix will anchor the 20-acre development. The center will also feature five outparcels ranging from one to two acres. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.

Dahlonega, Ga. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $4.4 million sale of Goldmine Village, a 28,000-square-foot retail center located in Dahlonega. Walmart anchors the property, which was fully occupied at the time of sale. Atlanta — Two restaurants will open at Uptown Atlanta, a 47-acre mixed-use development in Atlanta. J’ouvert Caribbean Kitchen and El Gordo are both scheduled to open this week, marking the first food-and-beverage openings at the property. Concepts Bene Korean, White Windmill and Madre Selva have also signed leases at the development. Rubenstein Partners is the developer and landlord.

Johns Creek, Ga. — Toro Development Co. has acquired 43 acres in the northern Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek for its upcoming Medley mixed-use development. Toro purchased the parcel for $44 million. Currently, the property features a four-story office building, as well as the site of another, demolished office building and surface parking. Plans for Medley include 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, in addition to office and residential space and a central green space. Carrollton, Ga. — Stratus Property Group has acquired a 38,000-square-foot shopping center located downtown Carrollton, roughly 45 miles west of Atlanta. The purchase included three acres of land. Tenants at the property include Shuckers Oyster House and Sutton’s American Grill. Stratus Property Group plans to reimagine the center, in collaboration with the City of Carrollton.

Sandy Springs, Ga. —CHEF’STORE has signed a 28,000-square-foot lease in Sandy Springs, a northern suburb of Atlanta. The retailer, which caters to food industry professionals and at-home chefs, will occupy space within City Center Crossing, a 98,048-square-foot shopping center. First National Realty Partners (FNRP) is the landlord. The store, which is scheduled to open this year, marks the first in metro Atlanta for CHEF’STORE. FNRP purchased City Center Crossing in 2021. Other tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, Gold Fish Swim School and Hudson Grille.

Monroe, Ga. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $7.5 million sale of Paradise Shoppes, a 23,500-square-foot retail center located in Monroe, roughly 44 miles east of Atlanta. An unnamed private equity firm based in Tulsa purchased the shopping center in an all-cash transaction from the seller, a private equity partnership. Marc Irvin of Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office represented the seller in the transaction. Brunswick and Jesup, Ga. — Convenience store retailer Wawa has broken ground on two new stores in the state of Georgia. Scheduled to open later this year, the stores will be located in Brunswick and Jesup. The new shops mark the beginning of the brand’s expansion plans for southern and coastal Georgia, where it plans to build and open 26 stores over the next five to eight years.
