St. Petersburg, Fla. — CBRE has arranged the sale of University Village, a 60,223-square-foot shopping center in downtown St. Petersburg. Casey Rosen and Dennis Carson of CBRE represented the seller, an affiliate of Bell Partners Inc., which is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Publix Super Markets purchased the center for an undisclosed price. Located at 250 Third St. S. and built in 2003, University Village is anchored by a Publix grocery store. Other tenants include CVS/pharmacy, Bank of America and seven other undisclosed retailers.

Miami — JLL has secured a $26.6 million refinancing for Town and Country Plaza, a 94,815-square-foot, fully-occupied shopping center in an infill location in Miami. Chris Drew, Brian Gaswirth and Reid Carleton of JLL secured the 11-year, full-term interest-only loan through The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America on behalf of the borrower, MMG Equity Partners. Town and Country Plaza is anchored by Sedano’s Supermarket and home to tenants including Sherwin-Williams, Navarro Discount Pharmacy, Goodwill, Express Auto Care and Discount Auto Parts.

St. Johns, Fla. — Earth Fare is set to open a 24,000-square-foot store within the Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway in the Jacksonville suburb of St. Johns. The company previously occupied a space at the center, which closed following Earth Fare’s bankruptcy declaration at the beginning of 2020. Sleiman Enterprises — developer and owner of the center — helped arrange the reopening.
