High 5 Entertainment to Open 70,000-Square-Foot Venue at Mixed-Use Development in Suburban Dallas
Allen, Texas — High 5 Entertainment, an Austin-based concept, will open an 70,000-square-foot venue at The Farm in Allen, a 135-acre mixed-use development located on the northeastern outskirts of Dallas. In addition to craft food and beverages, the entertainment center will feature bowling, laser tag, axe throwing, escape rooms, minigolf and private event spaces. The main facility will span 45,000 square feet, with the outdoor minigolf course accounting for the remaining 25,000 square feet. The opening is slated for fall 2023. JaRyCo is the master developer of The Farm in Allen.
Fort Worth, Texas — Trademark Property Co. has welcomed seven new tenants to WestBend, the locally based developer’s mixed-use destination in Fort Worth. Four food and beverage concepts — fast casual eatery Sweetgreen, confectionary Van Leeuwen, burger chain Shake Shack and global culinary experience Quince — are scheduled to open before the end of the year. McKinney, Texas — Northern Tool + Equipment and AutoZone have signed retail leases totaling 39,357 square feet in McKinney, about 35 miles northeast of Dallas. The tenants will backfill a space previously occupied by Super 1 Foods with footprints of 22,500 and 16,857 square feet, respectively. William Rosatti represented the landlord, JAH Realty, in the lease negotiations on an internal basis. Clay Mote of Retail Union and Mack House of Westover Group represented Northern Tool and AutoZone, respectively.
Addison, Texas — Northwood Retail has added five new tenants to Prestonwood Place, a 107,000-square-foot center located in the northern Dallas suburb of Addison. One Medical, a membership-based primary care practice, is now open, and Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar will open later this year. Two other food-and-beverage concepts, Thai restaurant Asian Mint and fast-casual eatery Sweetgreen, are also scheduled to launch before year’s end. Buff City Soap will open its store in 2023.
Melissa, Texas — STRIVE has arranged the sale of Melissa Village, a 32,116-square-foot retail center in Melissa, located approximately 40 miles northeast of Dallas. Fully leased at the time of sale, the center’s tenants include Smoothie King, Wingstop, Jersey Mike’s, and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. Hudson Lambert of STRIVE represented the seller in the 1031 exchange transaction.
Del Rio, Texas — Levcor has welcomed a quintet of new tenants to Plaza Del Sol, a shopping and dining destination in Del Rio, located west of San Antonio near the Texas-Mexico border. Retailers Ulta Beauty and Burlington have respectively committed to 5,789 and 36,258-square-foot spaces, and the former’s store is now officially open. Food-and-beverage users that have joined the tenant roster include McAlister’s Deli (2,882 square feet), Papa John’s (1,432 square feet) and Arby’s (2,252 square feet).

Lubbock, Texas — Independence Commercial Advisors has negotiated the sale of Poka Lambro Shopping Center, a 37,500-square-foot retail property in Lubbock. Built on 4.9 acres in 1983, the property includes outparcels that house a Wells Fargo ATM and a recently renovated Burger King. Richard Mireles of Independence Commercial Advisors represented the undisclosed seller and procured the buyer, Texas-based NetCo Investments Inc., in the transaction.
Real Estate Investment Firm Centennial Acquires Operating Platform of Bayer Properties
Dallas and Birmingham, Ala. — Dallas-based real estate investment firm Centennial has acquired the operating platform of Birmingham-based Bayer Properties. Bayer’s management portfolio includes nearly 8 million square feet of open-air fashion, power and neighborhood retail centers, as well as mixed-use properties. The combined organization will utilize the Centennial name and the company’s headquarters will remain in Dallas. Bayer’s Birmingham headquarters will remain operational and will become a regional office for Centennial.
