Birmingham, Ala. – Shoe and accessories retailer DSW opened an 18,000-square-foot location at adjacent to The Fresh Market on March 13.
Birmingham, Ala. – Cypress Equities has acquired Brookwood Village in Birmingham’s affluent Mountain Brook area. The 816,000-square-foot development consists of a 604,000-square-foot two-story enclosed mall; a 41,900-square-foot grocery-anchored retail component; and a nine-story 170,000-square-foot office building. The retail component is anchored by Macy’s, Belk and Books-A-Million, and features other tenants that include Banana Republic, Brookstone, Jos. A. Bank and more. The seller was Colonial Properties Trust.
