New York – The mall is adjacent to the Bay Plaza Shopping Center, which has 1.2 million square feet of retail space.
New York – The Mall at Bay Plaza, New York’s first enclosed fashion mall in more than 40 years, has opened. In the two years since the groundbreaking, crews have completed the 780,000-square-foot three-level mall, making it the largest mall in the city. The Mall at Bay Plaza includes as the anchor tenants a new, ground-up 160,000-square-foot Macy’s Inc., the first new location for the retailer within the city in 15 years, and an existing J.C. Penney. Over 100 retail shops have been constructed, many of which are first-to-market in the Bronx. H&M, Ulta, Victoria’s Secret, Kay Jewelers, The Gap, Aeropostale and others will also open their first locations in the borough at The Mall at Bay Plaza.
