Dalton, Ga. — Faris Lee Investments has arranged the $4.7 million sale of a free-standing retail pad building located in Dalton in northern Georgia. Developed in 2023, the two-tenant building features a drive-thru and is situated at the entrance to the Dalton Square shopping center. Starbucks Coffee and AFC Urgent Care currently occupy the property. Scott DeYoung, Jeff Conover, Don MacLellan and Greg Lukosky of Faris Lee represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. Newport Beach, Calif. — California-based pizza chain Mountain Mike’s has signed three multi-unit franchise agreements in Texas. The agreements include plans for five restaurants in Austin, three restaurants in metro Houston and three restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro. Franchisees Rajeev Dewan, Ajay and Karina Gorde and Tim Fogarty will own and operate the units in Austin, metro Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, respectively. Mountain Mike’s current portfolio includes four existing restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro and one in Greater Houston.

Richmond, Texas — NewQuest Properties has broken ground on a 19,000-square-foot, multi-tenant retail building in Richmond, a southwestern suburb of Houston. The building will be part of Phase III of The Grand at Aliana, a 65-acre retail project currently underway by the developer. The new building is 75 percent preleased to tenants including Milano Nails, America’s Best, Five Guys, Dunkin’, Firehouse Subs and Buffalo Wild Wings Go. Openings are scheduled to begin next summer. Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — BurgerFi International (NASDAQ: BFI) has filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The Fort Lauderdale-based company operates under two brands: BurgerFi and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings. The two entities have a total of 144 restaurants open across the United States, Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia.  The filing pertains to 67 corporately owned locations operating under both the BurgerFi and Anthony’s banners. Vernon Hills, Ill. — Three new tenants have signed leases at Hawthorn, a shopping center in Vernon Hills, roughly 40 miles outside Chicago. Pure Barre has opened a 1,768-square-foot studio at the property, and Yard House will open a 7,765-square-foot restaurant. Rootz has also signed a lease at the center and is scheduled to open within a 7,222-square-foot space in the fourth quarter of 2025. Hawthorn, which opened in 1973, is also currently undergoing a mixed-use redevelopment.

Hyannis, Mass. — Whole Foods Market will open a new, 42,560-square-foot store in Hyannis. A relocation from the existing Hyannis store, the property will feature a larger format and more than 370 local items from New England. The store will also offer grocery delivery to Cape Cod residents, as well as an Amazon returns counter and kiosk.

Schaumburg, Ill. — CBRE has arranged the sale of Woodfield Village Green, a 420,740-square-foot shopping center located in Schaumburg, roughly 30 miles outside Chicago. Bridge33 Capital acquired the property from an undisclosed seller. Tenants at the center include Trader Joe’s, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, The Container Store, Bloomingdale’s Outlet, PetSmart and HomeGoods. CBRE represented the seller in the transaction.

Rockfish-Village_Publix_Fayetteville

Hinesville, Ga. — Branch Properties has acquired 9.7 acres of land for Flemington Village, a 57,851-square-foot shopping center to be developed in Hinesville, approximately 40 miles southwest of Savannah. A 46,791-square-foot Publix will anchor the center, which is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025. The property will also feature 11,060 square feet of inline retail space and an outparcel.

Macys_Oak-Court-Mall_Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. — Poag Development Group has purchased a 400,000-square-foot store situated within Oak Court Mall, an enclosed regional mall in Memphis originally opened in 1988. Macy’s occupies the space and sold the property in a sale-leaseback transaction. Poag acquired the department store for $7 million in a joint venture with a group of local investors that purchased the other portions of Oak Court Mall in December 2023. Poag plans to work with JLL to maximize the potential of Oak Court Mall.
