Ashburn, Va. — A joint venture between Novais Partners and the Hanover Co. has announced plans for Rivana at Innovation Station, a 4.4 million-square-foot mixed-use development located 30 miles outside Washington, D.C., in Ashburn. The 103-acre, transit-oriented project will be developed adjacent to Loudoun County’s extension of the Metro Silver Line, one stop from Washington-Dulles International Airport. Oklahoma City — Home furnishings retailer At Home has opened a 117,552-square-foot store at Plaza at Quail Springs, a shopping center in Oklahoma City. JAH Realty owns the center, which is located at 2201 NW 138th St. near Quail Springs Mall on the city’s north side. At Home is backfilling a space formerly occupied by three separate tenants. The company’s total store count now stands at 225.

Independence, Mo. — Block & Co. Inc. Realtors investment group, headed by Phil Peck and Marshal Blount, has acquired a former FedEx facility located at 3721 Noland Road in Independence. The 8,385-square-foot building has been repurposed into a four-unit, multi-tenant retail center. Construction of a brand-new parking lot and building facade was also completed in 2020. Snellville, Ga. — A joint venture between the City of Snellville, CASTO and MidCity has broken ground on The Grove at Towne Center, an 18-acre mixed-use project located 30 miles outside Atlanta. The $85 million first phase of development will include over 50,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, office and entertainment space alongside 262 multifamily units. In addition, Elizabeth Williams Library will be constructed, which is set to include a second-floor business development and accelerator space.

Stonecrest, Ga. — Hallmark Venture Group Inc. has acquired The Mall at Stonecrest, a 1.2 million-square-foot regional mall in metro Atlanta. The seller and sales price were not disclosed, but The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the mall was last appraised at $84 million. Hallmark Venture is planning to transform the 29-acre mall site into a mixed-use destination that will include apartments, a sports and entertainment complex, cosmetic superstore, aquarium, medical offices, transportation facilities and restaurants.
