Frisco, Texas — AOS Panther Creek has broken ground on Shops at Creekside, a 20,130-square-foot retail project located at 13030 Preston Road in Frisco. Cross Architects is designing the project, and Talley Riggins Construction Group is the general contractor. Inroads Realty is leasing the center and has secured commitments from Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, Domino’s Pizza and a general dentistry practice. Yonkers, N.Y. — Marx Realty, a division of Merchants National Properties, has broken ground on a 130,000-square-foot project for Target in the New York City suburb of Yonkers. The store will be located at the site of a former Sears that closed in 2019 within Cross County Center, a 1.1 million-square-foot open-air shopping and dining destination. In addition to Target, H&M recently signed a long-term renewal for its 28,000-square-foot space, which is currently undergoing a $5 million remodeling. San Antonio  — Houston-based developer Midway and private equity firm GrayStreet Partners have unveiled plans for Lone Star District, a mixed-use project in San Antonio that will be a redevelopment of the former Lone Star Brewery site. The site borders the San Antonio River and is located roughly 1.5 miles from the downtown area. Baker Katz Breaks Ground on 50-Acre Retail Development in Brenham, Texas

Brenham, Texas — Baker Katz has broken ground on Brenham Crossing, a 50-acre retail development located at the southwest and southeast corners of Highway 290 and Chappell Hill Road in Brenham. Five retailers are set to open within the 163,518-square-foot first phase of development, including Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Five Below, Burke’s and PetSmart. Jeff Stein of Dallas-based CBRE Group Inc. secured financing for the development, which is scheduled to open next year.

Parkview Financial Provides $100 Million Loan for Conversion of Harrah’s Hotel and Casino to Mixed-Use Project in Downtown Reno

Reno, Nev. — Parkview Financial has provided a $100 million loan to Reno City Center, an affiliate of Las Vegas-based CAI Investments. The funds will be used for the renovation and redevelopment of Harrah’s Reno Hotel and Casino into Reno City Center, a mixed-use project. Malibu, Calif. — Pacific Equity Properties Inc. has received $130 million in construction financing for Cross Creek Ranch Malibu, a 112,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Malibu, a beach city just west of downtown Los Angeles. Cross Creek Ranch is the largest development to be approved since the Malibu incorporated in 1991, according to the developer. Milton, Fla. —  Branch Properties and Merganser Enterprises LLC are set to break ground on a Publix-anchored shopping center in Milton known as Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates. The 66,921-square-foot shopping center is slated for completion in April 2022. The property will include a 46,811-square-foot Publix, two additional buildings totaling 20,110 square feet of retail space and a 1.3-acre outparcel with up to 7,500 square feet of retail space. JLL Secures Construction Financing for Publix-Anchored Center Near Fort Myers, Florida

Babcock Ranch, Fla. — JLL Capital Markets has secured construction financing for the development of Crescent B Commons, an 82,640-square-foot, Publix-anchored neighborhood shopping center in Babcock Ranch, a new town situated northeast of Fort Myers.
