Cosm to Anchor 1.5 Million-Square-Foot Development at Cadillac Square in Detroit

Detroit — Immersive entertainment concept Cosm has signed on as the anchor tenant at Development at Cadillac Square, a 1.5 million-square-foot mixed-use project scheduled to break ground in Detroit in 2025. Cosm Detroit will feature an LED dome spanning roughly 90 feet with Shared Reality technology, offering experiential sports and entertainment programming. Content will include a production of Cirque du Soleil’s “O,” as well as immersive art experiences from members of the Cosm Studios Creator Program. Price Rite Signs 34,000-Square-Foot Lease at Waterbury Shopping Center in Connecticut

Waterbury, Conn. — Grocer Price Rite has signed a 10-year, 34,000-square-foot lease at Waterbury Shopping Center, a retail center located in Waterbury. William Cafero of Charter Realty arranged the lease on behalf of the landlord, Tartaglia Commercial Properties. Price Rite will occupy a vacant space at the property that formerly housed Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. This marks Price Rite’s first new lease in more than five years.

The Italiano Opens Restaurant at 89,506-Square-Foot Retail Center in Scottsdale, Arizona

Scottsdale, Ariz. — The Italiano has opened a new restaurant within Mercado del Rancho, an 89,506-square-foot retail center located in Scottsdale, approximately 15 miles northeast of Phoenix. Sprouts Farmers Market anchors the center, which is owned by Westwood Financial. Other tenants at the property include Starbucks Coffee, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Club Pilates, Orange Theory, Stretch Lab, Jersey Mikes, FedEx, Chompie’s Bagels, Nékter Juice Bar and Hello Laser. The Italiano, a concept originally founded by Chef Joey Maggiore, brings the center to full occupancy.

Houston — Katz’s Deli, a 24-hour restaurant concept, has signed a 6,300-square-foot lease in Houston. Construction on the new restaurant, which will be situated within the Memorial City mixed-use development, is scheduled to begin in early 2025. Delivery of the development is expected by early 2026. Nordstrom Rack to Open Two Stores Totaling 51,000 Square Feet in Florida

Melbourne and Sarasota, Fla. — Nordstrom Rack has announced plans to open two new stores in Florida. Located in Melbourne and Sarasota, the stores will comprise 24,000 and 27,000 square feet, respectively. The Melbourne store will be situated within The Avenue Viera and is scheduled to open next fall. Situated within Sarasota Pavilion, the Sarasota store is scheduled to open in spring 2026. InvenTrust Properties owns and manages Sarasota Pavilion, and WS Development owns and manages The Avenue Viera.

Live Nation to Open Entertainment Venue at 900,000-Square-Foot Westcourt Mixed-Use Project in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. — Live Nation will open a 3,500-seat entertainment venue at Westcourt Sports and Entertainment District, a 900,000-square-foot mixed-use project currently underway in downtown Orlando. Construction on the facility is scheduled to begin early next year, with an anticipated opening in 2027. SED Development, JMA Ventures and Machete Group are developing Westcourt, which will feature a 260-room hotel, 265 residential units, 300,000 square feet of office space and 125,000 square feet of entertainment and dining-focused retail space.
