Scheduled to open this month and in April, Burlington and Five Below will occupy 30,000 and 10,787 square feet, respectively, at Christown Spectrum in Phoenix. PetWellClinic and Milano Nails Salon have also signed leases totaling 6,432 square feet at Madison Village Marketplace in Phoenix. New York City — Outdoor lifestyle brand YETI has signed a 6,614-square-foot lease in Manhattan in New York City. Scheduled to open by early summer of this year, the store will occupy space on two levels of the building, which is situated across from Madison Square Park. Boston Properties is the landlord of the property. Ian Rice of SCG Retail, a division of TSCG, and Jordan Cohn of Ripco represented YETI in the lease negotiations. Alan Schmerzler and Steven Soutendijk of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord.
Houston — Fast-casual concept Salad and Go has signed four new leases in Texas. The brand will open restaurants at a 44,431-square-foot property in Magnolia and a 30,000-square-foot property in Cypress. Danny Miller of Gulf Coast Commercial Group represented the landlord in both negotiations. Salad and Go has also signed leases in The Woodlands and Bryan. Jacob Weersing of Capital Retail represented the landlord of the Woodlands property in the transaction. Jason Baker, Traci Holman, Lunden McGill and John Frazier of Baker Katz represented Salad and Go in the lease negotiations.
Houston — High Five Mini Bar will open this month at Stomping Grounds, a retail development located in the Garden Oaks neighborhood of Houston. Occupying 126 square feet, the bar will mark the debut of the craft cocktail concept by Will Ebarb and Chris Cusack. RE:VIVE Development is the developer and landlord at the property.
Atlanta — Two restaurants will open at Uptown Atlanta, a 47-acre mixed-use development in Atlanta. J’ouvert Caribbean Kitchen and El Gordo are both scheduled to open this week, marking the first food-and-beverage openings at the property. Concepts Bene Korean, White Windmill and Madre Selva have also signed leases at the development. Rubenstein Partners is the developer and landlord.
Sandy Springs, Ga. —CHEF’STORE has signed a 28,000-square-foot lease in Sandy Springs, a northern suburb of Atlanta. The retailer, which caters to food industry professionals and at-home chefs, will occupy space within City Center Crossing, a 98,048-square-foot shopping center. First National Realty Partners (FNRP) is the landlord. The store, which is scheduled to open this year, marks the first in metro Atlanta for CHEF’STORE. FNRP purchased City Center Crossing in 2021. Other tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, Gold Fish Swim School and Hudson Grille.
New York City — Hobby Lobby has opened a 42,000-square-foot store on Staten Island in New York City. This marks the first location in the city for the brand, which has a portfolio of more than 1,000 stores throughout the US. Brian Katz and Daniel D. DePasquale of Katz & Associates represented Hobby Lobby with Graeme Keith of The Keith Group in the lease negotiations. Brookfield Properties is the landlord.
Charlotte, N.C. — Two retail tenants have signed leases at Oakhurst Commons, a 135,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Charlotte. New fitness concept The Health Club will occupy 15,000 square feet. Ilios Crafted Greek will also open a 2,400-square-foot restaurant. MDH Partners and Parkway Partners are the landlords of the property, which is currently 50 percent leased. Charles Thrift and Thompson Brock of Thrift Commercial Real Estate Services manage retail leasing at the development.
Vancouver, Wash. — Retailer MINISO has signed a 3,572-square-foot lease at Vancouver Mall in Vancouver, roughly 10 miles outside Portland. Scheduled to open in early spring, the store will be located adjacent to Forever 21. Established in 2013, the brand is known for toys and plushies, beauty products, home goods, fragrances and electronics.
Lake Grove, N.Y. — Wegmans will open a 95,000-square-foot store as DSW Plaza in Lake Grove, marking the first Long Island location for the grocer. Scheduled to open early next year, the store will employ more than 500 people, according to the company, which currently operates 110 stores in eight states.
