Skokie, Ill. — Pottery Barn has signed a 15,000-square-foot lease at Westfield Old Orchard, a shopping center located in Skokie, roughly 15 miles outside downtown Chicago. Together with Arhaus, Puttshack and ZARA, the retailer will occupy a 115,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Lord & Taylor that is undergoing renovations as part of a multiphase development plan at the property. South Windsor, Conn. — Whole Foods Market will open a new, 43,406-square-foot store in South Windsor. This will mark the fifth location for Whole Foods in the Hartford area.  Situated within The Shops at Evergreen Walk, the store is scheduled to open Jan. 17 and will feature more than 1,000 local items from New England.

Culver City, Calif. — Four new tenants have signed leases at The Culver Steps, a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use development located in Culver City, roughly 11 miles outside Los Angeles. Skincare concept Formula Fig has opened a 2,000-square-foot store at the property, and Yunomi Handroll has opened a 2,500-square-foot restaurant. Restaurants AFURI Ramen and Laurel Grill have also signed leases at the development and will occupy 2,600 and 7,500 square feet, respectively. AFURI Ramen is scheduled to open this month, and Laurel Grill will open next year.

Shake-Shack_North-Las-Vegas-Nev

North Las Vegas, Nev. — Shake Shack has opened a new drive-thru restaurant in North Las Vegas, roughly 3 miles outside Las Vegas. This marks the first drive-thru for Shake Shack in Nevada and the fifth location for the brand in the state. Shake Shack’s presence in the United States currently includes more than 320 restaurants across 33 states.

Franklin, Tenn. — Nordstrom Rack will open a 24,000 square foot store in Franklin, roughly 20 miles outside Nashville, marking the fifth location for the brand in the state. Scheduled to open in fall 2024, the store will be situated within Cool Springs Market. Other tenants at the retail center include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kroger and DSW. Kite Realty Group Trust is the landlord at the property.

East River

Houston — Three food-and-beverage tenants have signed leases totaling 12,773 square feet at East River, a 150-acre mixed-use development currently underway in Houston. La Cantina by La Calle Tacos and Kyuramen will occupy 3,357 and 4,416 square feet, respectively, beginning summer 2024. City Cellars HTX will also open at the property next spring, in a 5,000-square-foot space. Midway is developing the project, and Parkway is the property manager.

Plainfield, Ind. — Axe-throwing entertainment concept LumberjAXE has signed a 5,013-square-foot lease at The Shops at Perry Crossing, a retail center located in Plainfield, roughly 20 miles outside Indianapolis. Upon completion, the venue will feature 11 total axe-throwing lanes, a children’s target, VIP room, pool table, digital dart boards and touch tunes. JLL manages the property.

Houston — LEVCOR has added five new tenants at MarqE, a shopping center located in Houston. Experiential concept Sloomoo Institute now occupies 23,000 square feet at the development, marking the fourth flagship venue in the country for the brand. Immersive Gamebox has also opened at the property within a 3,404-square-foot space, and Glownar Aesthetics has signed a 1,200-square-foot lease. Additionally, Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse has opened a 4,504-square-foot restaurant, and Seaside Poke has signed a 1,600-square-foot lease. Los Angeles and New York City — Apparel retailer BOGNER has opened two stores in Los Angeles and New York City, marking the first locations in the country for the German brand. Located on Madison Avenue, the New York City store comprises 3,400 square feet, and the Los Angeles store occupies 2,500 square feet on the Sunset Strip.
