Pigeon Forge, Tenn. — BrightColors LLC And partner Kingsmen Xperience Inc. have announced plans with Crayola to open a 30,000-square-foot Crayola Experience in Pigeon Forge. Upon completion, the indoor family entertainment center will feature 20 attractions and a retail store. The Pigeon Forge location marks the sixth attraction for the brand, which has opened others in Pennsylvania, Florida, Minnesota, Texas and Arizona. Four additional Crayola Experience locations will open over the next five years, the locations of which were not disclosed.

Bellevue, Wash. — Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen will open a 1,010-square-foot restaurant in Bellevue, roughly 10 miles outside Seattle. Situated within The Marketplace at Factoria, the restaurant is scheduled to open this September and will offer Venezuelan and Caribbean food in a fast-casual space. An affiliate of Kimco Realty Corp. manages the property.
Scranton, Pa. — Dick’s Sporting Goods has opened a 90,000-square-foot House of Sport store at Viewmont Mall in Scranton. Dick’s House of Sport, which opened at the property earlier this month, is an experiential concept that offers putting greens, rock walls, batting cages and turf baseball fields, along with sports-related apparel and equipment for sale. PREIT is the landlord.
Dublin, Calif. —Five Below will open a 10,000-square-foot store in Dublin. Scheduled to open this fall, the store will be situated within Hacienda Crossings, a 262,273-square-foot shopping center. Other tenants at the property include TJ Maxx, Barons Jewelers, Ulta Beauty, The World of Beer and Five Guys Burgers.
Tempe, Ariz. — Arizona State University (ASU) and Catellus Development Corp. are underway on Novus Place, the 275,000-square-foot retail and entertainment portion of the 4.5 million-square-foot mixed-use Novus Innovation Corridor in Tempe. Located adjacent to ASU’s Tempe campus, the multi-phase project is being developed through a public-private partnership between the university and development firm. Vestar will manage the retail portion of the development. Fox Restaurant Concepts (FRC) recently signed a lease to bring three food-and-beverage concepts — Flower Child, Blanco Taco Cocina + Cantina and North Italia — to the property, …
Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — New Jersey-based Spirit Halloween has announced that it will open more than 1,500 seasonal stores throughout the U.S. this year. Stores typically occupy between 5,000 and 50,000 square feet and remain open eight to ten weeks. The company plans to hire 40,000 associates to staff the locations.
Denver — New tenants have signed leases totaling roughly 66,000 square feet at Shops at Northfield, an open-air retail center located in Denver, bringing the property to 96 percent occupancy. P.F. Chang’s, Bowlero, Sephora and a lululemon pop-up store are among the new tenants at the center, which comprises 769,359 square feet and was built in 2006. Stockdale Capital Partners is the landlord.
Greenville, S.C. — Three new-to-market entertainment concepts have signed leases at the $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment of Greenville County Square currently underway in Greenville. Pins Mechanical will open a 24,366-square-foot space, and Fairway Social and Agave Bandido will occupy 9,100 and 7,000 square feet at the development, respectively. Deer Park, Ill. — Three new tenants have joined Deer Park Town Center, a shopping center located approximately 35 miles outside Chicago in Deer Park. Sweetgreen has opened a 2,156-square-foot restaurant and Victoria’s Secret has signed a 4,965-square-foot lease at the property. The Shade Store will also open at the center in spring 2024.
