Schumacher attended Michigan State University and moved to Atlanta as a public school teacher in the 1970s. He worked part-time as a restaurant critic for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Schumacher worked at The Shopping Center Group, now known as TSCG, as a broker for four years before founding The Schumacher Group in 1991. Sandy Springs, Ga. — InvenTrust Properties Corp. has purchased Trowbridge Crossing, a 62,600-square-foot, Publix-Anchored shopping center in Sandy Springs, for $11 million. The property was fully leased at the time of sale to tenants including the U.S. Postal Service, Great Clips, T-Mobile and Domino’s Pizza. The center was also recently upgraded to include new LED lights to improve energy efficiency and illumination for the center.
