Parma Heights, Ohio — DealPoint Merrill has purchased The Shops at Pearl & 130th in Parma Heights, a western suburb of Cleveland. The purchase price was undisclosed. DealPoint Merrill plans to embark on a $10 million renovation project for the 155,805-square-foot shopping center. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2022. This will be the fourth major construction project launched by DealPoint Merrill in the Cleveland area. Euclid, Ohio — First National Realty Partners has acquired Shore Center Plaza, a 111,152-square-foot grocery-anchored shopping center located at 22501 Shore Center Drive in the Cleveland suburb of Euclid. Shore Center Plaza was 94.1 percent occupied at the time of sale and is anchored by a 47,348-square-foot Dave’s Supermarket. The seller and sales price were not disclosed.

Cleveland — MCG Architecture has partnered with Mark Trommsdorff, who will work on Southeast business development for the Cleveland-based design firm. Trommsdorff recently retired from Kimco Realty Corp. where he worked for over 33 years. Over the past 20 years, Trommsdorff has been involved with retail and mixed-use development projects in 20 states, mainly in the Southeast. Trommsdorff’s focus at MCG will be maintaining the firm’s current clients as well as developing new client relationships.

Dublin, Ohio and Miami — The Wendy’s Co. and REEF have formed a new development commitment to open and operate 700 delivery kitchens over the next five years across the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. Through this commitment, REEF will become the first Wendy’s franchisee in the United Kingdom. Wendy’s and REEF expect to open approximately 50 delivery kitchens in 2021, with the remainder launched by 2025.

Huber Heights, Ohio — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the $8.5 million sale of North Heights Plaza in Huber Heights, just north of Dayton. The 113,732-square-foot shopping center was fully occupied at the time of sale. Anchor tenants include Hobby Lobby and Bed Bath & Beyond. CJ Jackson, Erin Patton, Scott Wiles and Craig Fuller marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a private out-of-state investor. The team procured the buyer, ExchangeRight, in collaboration with JRW Realty.

Cleveland — DealPoint Merrill has completed its purchase of the former Richmond Town Square regional mall in Cleveland. Built in 1966, the mall was home to over 90 stores until its closure in 2021. DealPoint plans to redevelop the site into Belle Oaks Marketplace, a $200 million mixed-use development.
