Alpharetta, Ga. — North American Properties (NAP) has announced plans for the addition of new entertainment elements at Avalon, a 2.4 million-square-foot mixed-use development located in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2024 and will include the addition of a raised, covered performance stage and an LED screen. Brookhaven, Ga. — Connolly has signed new tenants to Parkside on Dresden, a $70 million mixed-use development underway in the Atlanta suburb of Brookhaven. The four-acre development is scheduled to open in fall 2024 and will comprise residential units, as well as 32,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Tenants will include Confab Kitchen and Bar, Honeysuckle Gelato, Café Vendome, Clean Juice, El Valle, MIRAE and F45 Training. Mindy Elms and Ed O’Connor of Lavista Associates Inc. manage retail leasing at the property on behalf of Connolly.
Mesa, Ariz. — A joint venture managed by Crow Holdings Capital has purchased The Shops at Sossaman, a 34,151-square-foot retail center located in Mesa. Abington Emerson Investments sold the property for $8.1 million. Tenants at the center, which was built in 2002, include Banner Health Physical Therapy, East Valley Pet Urgent Care, Empower Academy and Crave Pizza. The property was fully leased at the time of sale. Steve Julius, Jesse Goldsmith and Chase Dorsett of Newmark represented the buyer and seller in the transaction.
New York City — Fitness International has signed a 36,500-square-foot lease in New York City. Occupying the entirety of the retail space at 59 Maiden Lane in Manhattan, Fitness International will open a Club Studio facility at the property. Club Studio offers boutique fitness classes and amenities. David Abrams, Eliot Goldschmidt, Jeff Jacobson and Brandon Miller of masonre represented the landlord, AmTrust RE, in the lease negotiations. Chase Welles of The Shopping Center Group and John Kalamaras of RealSource Group represented the tenant.
Wauwatosa, Wis. — Dollar Tree has signed a 10,500-square-foot lease in the Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa. The store will be situated within Burleigh Square. Emily Smits and Mike Fitzgerald of Mid-America Real Estate represented the landlord, an entity doing business as CPG Wauwatosa LLC.
Aventura, Fla. — Diamonds Direct has opened a new store in Aventura. Situated on Biscayne Boulevard, the showroom totals 6,000 square feet. The store offers loose and mounted diamonds, engagement ring mountings, jewelry, wedding bands and pearls, among other products.
Delray Beach, Fla. —Benderson Development has acquired Linton Commons, an 85,000-square-foot retail center located in Delray Beach. Tenants at the property include RH Outlet, Guitar Center, PetSmart, Chipotle Mexican Grill and AT&T. Benderson’s portfolio in the state also includes a freestanding Publix Super Market in Pompano Beach, which was acquired in August, and a Publix-anchored shopping center in Englewood. Matt Berres, Samer Khalil and Karick Brown of Newmark represented the seller and procured the buyer in cooperation with Bert Sanders of Newmark.
Henderson, Nev. — CTO Realty Growth has sold Eastern Commons, a 129,600-square-foot shopping center located in Henderson, roughly 15 miles outside Las Vegas. An undisclosed buyer acquired the property for $18.2 million. The seller plans to utilize proceeds from the sale in a 1031-exchange transaction.
Scottsville, Ky. — Legacy Realty Group Advisors has brokered the sale of Scottsville Shopping Center, a 31,800-square-foot retail center located in Scottsville. Food Lion anchors the property. Jacob Baruch and Jonah Warshaw of Legacy represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Madison, Wis. — Whole Foods Market will open a new, 50,000-square-foot store in Madison on Dec. 13. This marks a relocation of the brand’s existing Madison store, which has been open since 1996. The store will anchor the 21-acre Madison Yards mixed-use development, which will also feature additional retail, restaurant and entertainment space surrounding a central green plaza. Products at the store will include more than 800 local items from the Midwest.
