Dallas — Steven Levin, founder and CEO of Dallas-based Centennial Real Estate, will retire on June 30 after nearly 30 years of leading the national retail operating platform. He will be succeeded by Paul Kurzawa, president of Centennial.
“It is an honor to lead this exceptional organization and build upon the strong foundation Steven has established over the past three decades,” says Kurzawa.
Over the next year, Levin will shift into an advisory role to support a smooth leadership transition. The firm will also continue to manage Levin’s portfolio properties, including The Shops at Willow Bend, while he remains active in the industry.
“Growing Centennial into a respected leader in retail real estate has been a joy and a privilege over the past 30 years, and I have tremendous confidence in Paul Kurzawa and our executive team as they lead the organization forward into the next chapter,” says Levin.
After establishing Centennial in 1997, Levin built a firm known for transforming traditional enclosed malls into mixed-use developments. Centennial is backed by Lincoln Property Co., which, which invested in the company’s operating business in 2024, creating a joint retail operating platform called “Centennial, powered by Lincoln.”
While building the Centennial brand, Levin has also cultivated an “inclusive, people-first culture that is driven by entrepreneurship and creativity,” according to the company.
“I truly believe that Centennial is the best in the business,” says Levin. “I expect to continue working closely with the company for years to come and look forward to remaining active in the industry while supporting Centennial’s continued success.”
