RK Centers Buys Three Massachusetts Properties in June for $88 Million

Worcester, Mass. – RK Centers has 49 shopping centers in New England and South Florida totaling approximately 7 million square feet.

Worcester, Mass. – RK Centers has recently acquired three properties located in Massachusetts. In June, RK Centers purchased Worcester Crossing, Westborough Speedway Plaza and a freestanding Kohl’s property in Stoughton. The three properties add 661,000 square feet to RK’s portfolio at a cost of $87.7 million. The acquisitions required no outside financing. RK Centers purchased Worcester Crossing from Madison Properties for $49 million. The 386,853-square-foot center has visibility along Route 146 in Worcester and is anchored by Walmart and Sam’s Club. RK purchased Westborough Speedway Plaza for $18.3 million from Regency Centers and totals 185,279 square feet. Located on Route 9 in Westborough, anchor tenants include Stop and Shop and Burlington Coat Factory. The final acquisition was the single-tenant triple-net asset Kohl’s property in Stoughton. RK purchased the 89,126-square-foot building for $20 million from Stoughton Marketplace DST.
