Bed Bath & Beyond Agrees to Buy Cost Plus

Union N.J. and Oakland, Calif — Both retailers’ boards have accepted merger terms.

Union N.J. and Oakland, Calif.  — Bed Bath & Beyond and Cost Plus have entered into a joint agreement under which Bed Bath & Beyond will acquire Cost Plus in an all cash transaction. Bed Bath & Beyond has agreed to make a cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of Cost Plus Inc. common stock for $22 per share, followed by a merger. The boards of directors of both companies have unanimously approved the terms of the transaction.
