North Brunswick, N.J. — German discount grocer Lidl has opened a 28,000-square-foot store at Brunswick Shopping Center, a 288,000-square-foot retail center located in North-Central New Jersey. Other tenants at the property include LA Fitness, Muscle Maker Grill, GNC, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty, McDonald’s, Sherwin Williams and Community Dental. New Jersey-based Levin Management Corp. represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The representative of the tenant was not disclosed. Lidl now operates 10 stores in New Jersey.

Secaucus, N.J. — Burlington has signed a 47,000-square-foot lease at a space formerly occupied by Sports Authority at Mill Creek at Harmon Meadow in Secaucus, located just across the Hudson River from Manhattan. New Jersey-based Levin Management Corp. represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The representative of the tenant was not disclosed.

Miami — Parkway Real Estate Services LLC and joint venture partner KKR have completed their $10 million renovation of Sabadell Financial Center, a 30-story, 524,000-square-foot office tower in Miami’s Brickell district. The waterfront property overlooks Biscayne Bay. Parkway Real Estate and KKR acquired the property for $250 million in 2018 and immediately commenced renovation plans. Upgrades included redesigning the entrance and renovating the lobby, as well as adding enhanced cellphone signal technology, meeting and entertainment spaces and a rooftop deck with space for fitness classes. Baltimore — Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new store in Baltimore on Wednesday, July 22. The store, located at 3800 Boston St., will be the fifth location in Maryland for the Phoenix-based grocer. Sprouts is following CDC guidelines at the location, requiring employees to wear masks, promoting social distancing and installing plexiglass barriers at registers. New York City — Whole Foods Market has opened a 60,245-square-foot store at 450 W. 33rd St. in Manhattan’s 5.4 million-square-foot Hudson Yards mixed-use development. The store offers a cocktail bar that serves to-go drinks, a beauty and body care section and a convenience market at street level for customers needing a grab-and-go meal, snack or beverage. The store is the 14th in New York City for Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods.

St. Johns, Fla. — Pebb Enterprises has unveiled its plans for a new 58,900-square-foot, Publix-anchored shopping center in St. Johns. Publix will occupy 48,400 square feet at the center, which will feature 10,500 square feet of in-line retail space. Publix Liquor Store and Lavender Spa have also signed leases at the space. Eden Prairie, Minn. — Kraus-Anderson has completed construction of a 250,000-square-foot retail sporting goods store for Scheels at Eden Prairie Center in Minnesota. Designed by R.L. Engebretson Architecture, the $58 million, two-story store includes a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, 45-foot-tall Ferris wheel as well as a Ginna’s Café and Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory. Scheels will offer a selection of sports, fashion and footwear. The sport shoe, hiking boot and casual footwear section is the largest in the region.
