Anaheim, Calif. — The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) has proposed a $1.9 billion expansion of its Disneyland Resort and surrounding neighborhood in Anaheim, south of Los Angeles in Orange County. If approved, the various new projects would be carried out within 10 years of the approval date, with the potential for another $600 million in capital investment to follow. Henderson, Nev. — LOGIC Commercial Real Estate has arranged the sale of Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casino in downtown Henderson. An affiliate of ECL Water Street LCC, a Las Vegas-based company with 45 properties in three states, acquired the properties from Tim Brooks for an undisclosed price. Upon completion, the site will comprise 72 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays, with each bay featuring lounge furniture or high-top tables. Joliet, Ill. — PENN Entertainment has broken ground on the $185 million Hollywood Casino Joliet at RockRun Collection in Joliet. The casino will anchor RockRun Collection, a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development that is under construction. Cullinan Properties is the owner and developer for the 310-acre project.
