Barrington, Ill. — An affiliate of Next Realty LLC has sold The Shops at Flint Creek in the northwest Chicago suburb of Barrington to a private investor for an undisclosed price. Heinen’s anchors the 60,000-square-foot property. Additional tenants at the center include Athletico, Ascension Medical Group Illinois, Epic Burger and Club Pilates. Sean Sharko of Marcus & Millichap represented Next, which purchased the property in 2014, in the transaction.

Fayetteville, N.C. — Branch Properties and Columbia Properties have purchased a 16.7-acre development site in Fayetteville, with plans to break ground on Rockfish Village, a shopping center that will span 76,237 square feet. A 48,387-square-foot Publix will anchor the property. The center will also feature 27,850 square feet of inline retail space and 2.4 acres of outparcels. Branch and Columbia plan to break ground on the project early next year, with delivery scheduled for the end of 2025.
Johns Creek, Ga. — Big V Property Group has acquired Johns Creek Town Center, a 303,297-square-foot retail center located in Johns Creek, roughly 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Sprouts Farmers Market anchors the property, which was built in 2001 and 99.7 percent leased at the time of sale. Other tenants at the center include HomeGoods, Michaels, Market by Macy’s, Kohl’s, PetSmart and Ulta Beauty. Jim Hamilton, Brad Buchanan and Andrew Kahn of JLL represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
Massillon, Ohio — Legacy Realty Group Advisors has brokered the $5.2 million sale of Amherst Shopping Center, a 146,880-square-foot retail center located in Massillon. Waukesha, Wis. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has brokered the sale of Silvernail Plaza, a 116,135-square-foot shopping center in the western Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha. Tenants at the property include grocer Metro Market and Dollar Tree. Outlots leased to Wendy’s, Arby’s and Firestone were included in the sale. Rick Drogosz, Dan Rosenfeld and Scott Satula of Mid-America represented the seller, United Properties. Essential Growth Properties was the buyer.

Developed in 1989 and renovated in 2011 and 2019, the property is anchored by Pete’s Fresh Market, Studio Movie Grill and PetSmart. Monroe, La. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $10.5 million sale of The Plaza One Shopping Center, a retail center located in Monroe. Super 1 Foods anchors the property, which totals 96,765 square feet. The center was fully leased at the time of sale. Zach Taylor and Philip Levy of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a Texas-based private investor, in the transaction. Morrow, Ga. — ShopOne Centers REIT and Pantheon, with a global institutional investor, have acquired Publix at Mt. Zion, a 79,031-square-foot retail center located in Morrow, roughly 15 miles south of Atlanta. Publix anchors the property, which was 98.9 percent leased at the time of sale. The grocer has operated at the property for more than 30 years. The joint venture owns three additional retail properties in the Atlanta metro, including Sharon Greens in Cumming, Bethesda Walk in Lawrenceville and Kennesaw Walk in Kennesaw.
Phoenix — Sprouts Famers Market will open a new, 28,000-square-foot store in Phoenix on June 14. Located in Tramonto Marketplace, the store will be situated within a space formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond. Diversified Partners is the landlord and developer of the property.
Gainesville, Va. — Federal Realty Investment Trust has acquired Virginia Gateway, a 665,000-square-foot retail center situated on 110 acres in Gainesville. The purchase price was $215 million. Tenants at the property, which is organized into five sections and was 95 percent occupied at the time of sale, include Giant Food, HomeGoods, Ulta Beauty, Total Wine & More and Hobby Lobby.
