Grocer Stop & Shop anchors the property, which is situated on nine acres along Route 140. Robert Griffin, Geoffrey Millerd, Paul Penman and Mat Adler of Newmark represented the undisclosed seller and procured the buyer, Bailard Real Estate Fund, in the transaction.

An undisclosed private investor acquired the asset at a 4.6 percent cap rate. Westbury, N.Y. — Austin-based Whole Foods Market will open a 57,000-square-foot grocery store at 867 E. Gate Blvd. in the Long Island city of Westbury on Thursday, Nov. 5. The new store will offer a coffee bar with cold brew and iced tea on tap, as well as juice bar with smoothies, a full-service butcher, in-house bakery, prepared foods section and a selection of more than 350 beers. The store will also offer curbside pickup and two-hour delivery for Amazon Prime members in select cities and towns.

Libertyville, Ill. — JLL Capital Markets has arranged $15.7 million in post-acquisition financing for Red Top Plaza, a 147,840-square-foot retail center anchored by Jewel-Osco in the suburban Chicago town of Libertyville. The property is also home to a mix of service, essential, restaurant and medical tenants. Christopher Drew, Brian Gaswirth, Christopher Knight and Michael DiCosimo of JLL worked on behalf of the borrower, Florida-based Sterling Organization. An undisclosed insurance company provided the 10-year, fixed-rate loan.
Local Developer Completes 109,000-Square-Foot K Towne Plaza Shopping Center in Metro Dallas
Carrollton, Texas — A locally based Korean family developer has completed K Towne Plaza Shopping Center, a 109,000-square-foot retail property located at 4060 State Highway in the northern Dallas suburb of Carrollton. Korean grocer Galleria Mart anchors the property, which features an additional 65 retail spaces. A grand opening will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 and will include kiosks offering Korean food and wares. Gaines Real Estate Co. manages the property. The developer requested anonymity.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Whole Foods Market will open a 47,000-square-foot store in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The new location will be situated at 501 SE 17th St., two miles south of downtown Fort Lauderdale and within CURV, Ram Realty’s 243-unit multifamily community. The store will include a coffee bar featuring cold-brew, nitro tea, wine and beer. This will be Whole Foods’ second Fort Lauderdale location, with the first being located at 2000 N. Federal Highway.

Burnham, Pa. — JLL has arranged an undisclosed amount of acquisition financing for Greater Lewistown Plaza, a 185,282-square-foot, grocery-anchored shopping center located in the Central Pennsylvania town of Burnham. Grocer Weis is the anchor tenant at the 22-acre property, and other users include CVS, Dunham Sports, Goodwill and Rent-a-Center. Michael Klein and Claudia Steeb of JLL arranged the fixed-rate loan through AmeriServ Financial. The borrower, Logan GL Holdings LLC, plans to implement a capital improvement program.
SRS Negotiates $6 Million Sale of Grocery Outlet-Occupied Retail Property in Norco, California
Norco, Calif. — SRS Real Estate Partners has brokered the sale of a single-tenant retail property located at 1428 Sixth St. in Norco. A family partnership acquired the asset from a local developer for $6 million. Grocery Outlet occupies the newly constructed, 18,000-square-foot building, which is situated on 1.7 acres.
