Berlin, Vt. — Heidenberg Properties Group has rebranded Berlin Mall as Central Vermont Marketplace in Berlin. This comes as part of the property’s transition to a mixed-use development, which included the opening of Chesnut Place, a 98-unit senior living facility. Heidenberg has also added two new retailers, which occupy a total of 60,000 square feet. Five Below opened a store at the property in February and Hobby Lobby took over the former JC Penney anchor space in April. Monroe, New York — Two new tenants have signed leases at Harriman Commons, a 706,243-square-foot retail center located in Monroe. Five Below will open an 11,012-square-foot store, and Rightly Dental is now seeing patients within a 1,650-square-foot space. These tenants bring occupancy at the property to 98 percent. Burlington also recently opened at the center, with a 23,986-square-foot store, and plans are underway for the addition of a BJ’s Fueling Station and 3,000-square-foot drive-thru restaurant. Construction on the gas station is scheduled to begin this quarter.
Oklahoma City— The Medallion Group has broken ground on The Stacks, a 34,000-square-foot retail project in Oklahoma City. Tenants that have committed to the development include Mediterranean restaurant Cava, fast-casual eatery Pickleman’s and locally based food-and-beverage concept The Surf Bar. Additional retail and medical users will be announced later this year. The Stacks is scheduled to open in the first half of 2024.
Delray Beach, Fla. — PEBB Enterprises has signed new leases totaling 27,099 square feet at Delray Landing, a shopping center the company is currently redeveloping in Delray Beach. Retro Fitness will occupy 17,299 square feet at the property and Crown Wine will lease 4,100 square feet. Keke’s Breakfast Café and a dentist office will also open at the center, leasing 4,200 and 1,500 square feet, respectively. Port Chester, N.Y. — Simone Development Cos. has signed three new tenants to Post Road Plaza in Port Chester. Together, the leases total more than 4,000 square feet. Nothing Bundt Cakes has signed a long-term lease for 1,760 square feet at the property, and Nailed It Spa and European Wax Center will occupy 1,000 and 1,534 square feet, respectively. Springfield, N.J. — Crunch Fitness will open a 32,000-square-foot gym at General Green Shopping Center in the Northern New Jersey community of Springfield. Crunch Fitness will backfill a space previously occupied by NY Sports Club. Marc Palestina and Chuck Lanyard of The Goldstein Group represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Houston — Three tenants have signed leases at Plazas at Midtown II, a shopping center located in Houston. Dough Zone Dumpling House will open a 4,503-square-foot restaurant at the property, marking the brand’s first Texas location. Additionally, nightclub Clover has opened a 1,848-square-foot space, and Upscale Cleaners will open an 824-square-foot location. Fifth Corner is the landlord.
Rialto, Calif. — CBRE and NewMark Merrill Cos. have completed the preleasing of Rialto Village, a 96,000-square-foot shopping center currently underway in Rialto. Everytable will occupy the final, 1,400-square-foot space at the development, which the companies broke ground on in August of last year. Metairie, La. — Arhaus will open a 14,000-square-foot showroom at the Feil Organization’s Lakeside Shopping Center, a 1.2 million-square-foot property located roughly eight miles outside New Orleans in Metairie. Scheduled to open later this year, the showroom will be located next to Dillard’s and feature two entrances, one interior and one exterior.
Houston — LEVCOR has signed four new tenants to Post Oak Plaza, a shopping center located in Houston. Restaurants Rakkan Ramen and Tacodeli will occupy 1,856 and 2,833 square feet, respectively. Additionally, Kohler will open a 4,038-square-foot kitchen and bath showroom, and Bassett Furniture will occupy 9,597 square feet. Previously announced tenants scheduled to open this year include Nando’s Peri Peri, Balboa Surf Club and Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau.
