Called Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, the format is designed to offer a quicker customer experience, featuring produce, meat, seafood, prepared foods, bread, alcohol, supplements, local specialties and products from the 365 by Whole Foods Market brand. Multiple local news sources, including the Houston Chronicle, report that the sales price was $450 million. As a shopping and dining destination, River Oaks District features 302,668 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Houston — Howard Hughes Holdings is underway on construction of Village Green at Bridgeland Central, a 70-acre retail development in northwest Houston. Situated within the 925-acre Bridgeland master-planned community, Village Green will comprise a 100,000-square-foot H-E-B grocery store and 28,000 square feet of inline retail and restaurant space. The development will also feature multiple outdoor dining spaces and connectivity to Bridgeland’s network of walking trails. Omaha, Neb. — Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors has brokered the $7.7 million sale of a single-tenant retail property located in Omaha. Topgolf occupies the 24,496-square-foot building on a triple-net-lease basis. Built in 2020 on 10.2 acres, the property is situated near a Chipotle Mexican Grill, X-Golf and the site of a future nine-acre mixed-use development. Jeff Lefko and Bill Asher of Hanley represented the developer and seller, a locally based private investor, in the transaction. Houston — Three new tenants have opened at Post Oak Plaza, a shopping center located in Houston. Retailers Arhaus, Kohler and Bassett Furniture now occupy 22,201; 4,036; and 9,597 square feet at the property, respectively. Other tenants at the center, which was 98 percent leased at the time of the openings, include Nando’s PERi PERi, Balboa Surf Club, Bluestone Lane, il Bracco and Kenny & Ziggy’s. Allentown, Pa. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $12.5 million sale of Parkway Shopping Center, a 133,314-square-foot retail center located in Allentown. Colin Reder, Derrick Dougherty and Scott Woodard of Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale on behalf of the undisclosed seller. Neil Campbell and Ian Nordfors of IPA Capital Markets, a division of Marcus & Millichap, secured debt financing on behalf of the buyer. Metro Commercial and KW Commercial will continue to manage and lease the property on behalf of the new ownership.
Salem, N.H. — Retailers Anthropologie and FP Movement, the activewear branch of Free People, have signed leases at The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem. Anthropologie will occupy 8,000 square feet, and FP Movement will occupy 2,125 square feet. Scheduled to open this fall, the stores will mark the first in the state for both brands. East Ridge, Tenn. — Urban Story Ventures will redevelop a 160,000-square-foot retail center located in East Ridge, roughly 10 miles outside Chattanooga. The developer purchased the property — which features a 38,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Food City, five retail outlet buildings and parking — last year. A roster of food-and-beverage, professional services and apparel retailers currently occupy a portion of the center.
