Denver — JLL Capital Markets has arranged the sale of The Shops on Montview, an 8,511-square-foot retail center located in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. Tenants at the center — which was built in 2020 and was 100 percent leased at the time of sale — include I Heart Mac & Cheese, Pizza Hut, Smile Studio Dental and Starbucks Coffee. Newport, Ky. — North American Properties (NAP) has partnered with Galley Group, a Pittsburgh-based food hall operator, to open a new food hall and bar at Newport on the Levee, a mixed-use destination along the Ohio River in Newport. The 7,900-square-foot venue, dubbed The Galley on the Levee, will feature four restaurants and a signature bar that will be able to accommodate 200 patrons. Miami Beach, Fla. — Northmarq has arranged the sale of a 22,857-square-foot property located at 509 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach. Jason Maier of Northmarq represented the buyer, a New York-based private investor, in the $35.3 million transaction. The single-tenant property, which was sold by an undisclosed New York-based individual, is leased to Walgreens on a triple-net basis.
Chicago — A California-based family trust has acquired a retail building occupied by Whole Foods Market in Chicago for $18.1 million. The 41,148-square-foot store is situated on the first floor of a condominium development at 6020 N. Cicero Ave. within the Sauganash neighborhood. Isaiah Harf of Northmarq represented the seller, a Maryland-based private investor, in the transaction. The property was built in 2017.
Long Branch, N.J. — Three new tenants will join the roster at The Shops at Pier Village, a retail center comprising over 140,000 square feet in Long Branch. Lifestyle brand Salt Life will occupy 3,453 square feet; beauty retailer Strand Salon will lease 5,000 square feet; and healthcare concept Remedy Realm will take over 1,729 square feet. New York City— Newmark Retail has arranged a lease with GOLFTEC, a golf instruction company, at 10 E. 40th Street in Midtown Manhattan. GOLFTEC will occupy 4,500 square feet of space at the ground-floor property, which comprises 8,000 square feet in total. Ariel Schuster and Tyler King of Newmark negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord, Joseph P. Day Realty. This will be the flagship location for GOLFTEC, as well as its first standalone store in Manhattan.
Franklin, Tenn. — Toro Development Co. (TDC), Highwoods Properties Inc. and Ignite Realty Partners (IRP) have partnered to develop Ovation, a 145-acre mixed-use project located in Franklin, roughly 20 miles south of Nashville. Highwoods will deliver the office component of the project, with TDC developing a 60-acre parcel comprising retail, multifamily residential and hospitality uses. Waco, Texas — CBRE has arranged the sale of Lake Air Shopping Center, a 214,625-square-foot retail property in Waco. At the time of sale, the center was 85 percent leased to tenants including Dollar Tree, Melrose, Tuesday Morning, Twin Liquors, AT&T, Starbucks Coffee and Domino’s Pizza. Blaine Dozier, Jim Batjer, Chris Cozby, Mark Witcher and Harrison Tye of CBRE represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. Crystal Lake, Ill. — Northmarq has brokered the $34.7 million sale of a freestanding grocery store property occupied by Mariano’s in the Chicago suburb of Crystal Lake. Built in 2018, the property spans 74,800 square feet. The grocery store features a Starbucks Coffee, sushi bar, pizza oven, oyster bar and sweets shop. Trexlertown, Pa. — The Home Depot will open a 136,000-square-foot store at Macungie Crossing, a 182,000-square-foot shopping center that is under construction in the Lehigh Valley community of Trexlertown. New York City-based RD Management is developing the project, construction of which is underway and expected to be complete next summer. The Atlanta-based home improvement retailer now operates about 70 stores in Pennsylvania.
