Philadelphia — Urban Outfitters reported an 8.4 percent sales decrease for the two months that ended Dec. 31, 2020 relative to that period in 2019. The Philadelphia-based apparel retailer said that lower sales within its brick-and-mortar stores were partially offset by double-digit sales growth across the digital platforms of its family of brands, which includes Free People and Anthropologie Group. Harrisburg, Pa. — Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has reported its comparable store sales for third-quarter 2020 rose 15.3 percent over third-quarter 2019. As of the end of the third quarter, which ended Oct. 31, the Harrisburg-based retailer operated 385 stores in 25 states. Pittsburgh — Dick’s Sporting Goods reported a 23.2 percent increase in same-store sales for its fiscal third quarter that ended Oct. 31, the company’s best performance in that metric since going public nearly two decades ago. York, Pa. — Institutional Property Advisors, a division of Marcus & Millichap, has negotiated the sale of York Marketplace, a 304,974-square-foot retail power center in York. A 125,353-square-foot Lowe’s Home Improvement store anchors the property along with a 74,541-square-foot Giant Food grocery store and a 12,500-square-foot Premium Fine Wine & Good Spirits. Brad Nathanson of IPA represented the undisclosed seller and procured the buyer, Triple BAR Group, in the transaction. Wayne, Pa. — Pet Valu Inc., a specialty retailer of pet food and supplies, has opted to wind down its U.S. operations. The retailer will close all 358 stores in the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, as well as its warehouses and its U.S. headquarters office in Wayne. Grocer Weis is the anchor tenant at the 22-acre property, and other users include CVS, Dunham Sports, Goodwill and Rent-a-Center. Louisville, Ky. — Papa John’s International (NASDAQ: PZZA) has signed a store development agreement that will allow the Louisville-based pizza chain to open 49 new stores in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey areas between 2021 and 2028. Franchisee HB Restaurant Group, which currently owns and operates 43 Papa John’s locations in the mid-Atlantic, will also own and operate the new stores.
