Chattanooga, Tenn. — Four new tenants will join Hamilton Place in Chattanooga. Crunch Fitness will open a 35,000-square-foot location at the property, and restaurants Texas Roadhouse, Taco Mamacita and Community Pie have also signed leases. Construction on the Crunch Fitness space is scheduled to begin in August, with the opening planned for later this year. Work is currently underway on Community Pie and Taco Mamacita, which will open in July and next year, respectively. Servierville, Tenn. — Buc-ee’s will open a 74,000-square-foot travel center in Sevierville, roughly 30 miles southeast of Knoxville, marking the second location in the state for the brand and the largest travel center in the world. Scheduled to open at the end of June, the center will feature 120 fueling stations in addition to a store and car wash. Buc-ee’s, which currently operates 46 locations, is additionally underway on a 75,000-square-foot center in Texas and announced its first Virginia location in March of this year.
Memphis, Tenn. — JLL Capital Markets has brokered the $18.4 million sale of Summer Center, a retail center in Memphis. Built in 1957, the property comprises 136,673 square feet and was renovated in 1992 and 2008. Kroger, Ross Dress for Less, Five Below and Aaron’s anchor the center, which was 97 percent leased at the time of sale. Jim Hamilton, Brad Buchanan and Andrew Kahn represented the seller, a joint venture between Forge Capital Partners and The Sembler Co. United Properties Corp. acquired the property.
Chattanooga, Tenn. — Ziff Real Estate Partners has sold East Brainerd Shopping Center, an 18,156-square-foot retail strip center located in Chattanooga. The property is leased to tenants including East Brainerd Wine & Spirits, Marco’s Pizza, Tobacco Mart of Chattanooga and Good World Goods. A gas station and Food City grocery store, not included in the sale, are also located within the center.
Madison, Tenn. — Franklin Street has brokered the $8.1 million sale of Village at RiverGate, a shopping center located in the Nashville suburb of Madison. Built in 1981, the property comprises 64,106 square feet and was renovated in 2020. Tenants at the center include JoAnn Fabrics, GameStop, Chuck E. Cheese and We Rock the Spectrum. John Tennant and Bryan Belk of Franklin Street represented the seller, Hendon Properties, in the transaction. An undisclosed local private investor purchased the property.
Knoxville, Tenn. — Monday Night Brewing will open a taproom within Kern’s Bakery Food Hall at Kern’s Bakery, a 16-acre mixed-use development currently underway in Knoxville. The taproom, which will mark Monday Night’s sixth location and second in Tennessee, will comprise 3,000 square feet with access to a patio and 7,000-square-foot event lawn. The joint venture purchased the property for $25 million from an undisclosed seller. Jones Aur Commercial Real Estate will lead leasing efforts at the property.
Nashville, Tenn. — Sports & Social, a dining and entertainment concept, has signed an 8,900-square-foot lease at The Mall at Green Hills, a shopping mall located in Nashville.
