Los Angeles — The $11 million Lindbrook-Gayley development is scheduled to open in summer 2014.

Los Angeles — Construction is underway on the $11 million Lindbrook-Gayley, a mixed-use project located on the former site of Westwood’s Mann Theatre in Los Angeles. The four-story, 80,000-square-foot building will include 34 apartments and 5,250 square feet of retail space. The development will also feature two subterranean parking levels. Nadel Architects designed the center, which was approved by the West Los Angeles Planning Commission in 2012. The project is tentatively scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2014.

Lindbrook-Gayley marks the first venture into residential development by owner Simms Commercial Development, a longtime developer of the Westside. Based on its previous mixed-use experience, Nadel Architects was hired by the developer to create a design that fits into the existing Westwood Village environment, while providing small but elegant apartments for young professionals.
