Boston — Simon Property Group will begin extensive renovations on Copley Place, an 800,000-square-foot urban mixed-use office and retail space located in Boston.
Renovations will include interior and exterior enhancements to the retail portion of the property, new flooring throughout, new ceiling treatments, upgraded escalators, including the addition of a new escalator in the Neiman Marcus wing, glass handrails, updated restrooms and the addition of a family restroom on the first level, the addition of an upscale fast casual dining component and LED lighting.
The majority of the project will be completed by summer 2016, and the center will remain open throughout. New tenants coming to Copley Place include CH Carolina Herrera, Moncler and Versace. Tory Burch and L.K. Bennett will expand their current locations at the center, and Banana Republic and Eileen Fisher will relocate.
