Lowy Named to Department of Commerce’s U.S. Investment Advisory Council

Los Angeles — Peter Lowy, co-CEO of Westfield Corp., the Australia-based shopping center owner and operator that has its U.S. headquarters in Los Angeles, has been named to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s newly established U.S. Investment Advisory Council (IAC).

The IAC consists of 19 private and public sector leaders who are involved in foreign direct investment in the United States. The IAC was formed for the Commerce Department to get stakeholder input on how to support U.S. economic growth from foreign direct investment. All appointees to the IAC will serve a two-year term.
