Regency Centers to Develop 51,000-Square-Foot Retail Property in South Carolina

Mount Pleasant, S.C. — Regency Centers Corp. has acquired an 8-acre parcel of land for the development of a 51,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored retail center in Mount Pleasant, 10 miles northeast of Charleston.

GreenWise Market will anchor the center, located within Indigo Square, a mixed-use development. Regency acquired the asset from Johnson Development Group. Indigo Square includes 457 multifamily units branded as The Haven at Indigo Square, a Cube Smart self-storage facility and a Home2Suites hotel. The Haven, Cube Smart and Home2Suites are already open and operating. The retail project will open in the fourth quarter of 2018.
