Rochester, N.H.  — Grossman Development Group (GDG) has started site work for the 330,000-square-foot Granite Ridge Marketplace, a 57-acre shopping center development in Rochester. The construction cost for the project will be more than $40 million. The center will feature a mix of anchor retail, junior anchor retail, restaurants and entertainment. The project is located on Route 11, the gateway to the Lake Region of New Hampshire and close to the Maine border. The project is slated for completion in the spring of 2014. Allevato Architects, based in Franklin, Ma., is the architect for Granite Ridge Marketplace.

“We believe this location offers an exceptional opportunity to serve the residents of Rochester, as well as the region in general,” stated Howard Grossman, President and Managing Principal of GDG. “As the fifth largest city in New Hampshire, Rochester is a great community which brings together residents, new employers and visitors, and creates an environment where retailers can thrive.”
