East Rutherford, N.J. — Triple Five Group of Cos. and Nickelodeon have announced that a brand new Nickelodeon Universe theme park will open at the 3 million-square-foot American Dream development in East Rutherford.
Nickelodeon Universe will be the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere, spanning 8.5 acres. The park will feature unique rides, live shows, retail, games, entertainment, food establishments and themed party rooms based on Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blaze and Monster Machines.
Alongside 450 retail, food and specialty shops, American Dream will feature an indoor DreamWorks Water Park, Amusement Park and a 16-story Big Snow Indoor Ski & Snow Park; a 1,500-seat performing arts theater; a 285-foot tall observation wheel; luxury movie theaters by Cinemex; a 70,000-square-foot Sea Life Aquarium and Lego Discovery Center; an NHL-size Ice Rink; and an 18-hole miniature golf course.
