Las Vegas – The mall was built in 1965 and received its last major renovation in 1992.
Sansone Companies is planning to redevelop The Boulevard Mall, home to Macy’s, Sears, Marshalls, J.C. Penney and many other tenants. Sansone plans to invest approximately $25 million to add new stores, restaurants and entertainment venues; redesign the façade and landscape; and enhance surrounding areas on Maryland Parkway. Renovations will be complete in 2015. The current south driveway will be transformed into a farmer’s market with approximately 70 vendors. The food court will feature additional vendors, as well as large-screen televisions. The mall, which lies two miles to the east of the Las Vegas Strip, was built in 1965 and is spread across 75 acres. Retailers Macy’s and Sears own their stores, leaving 56 acres for sale that Sansone purchased in late 2012 for $54.5 million.
