Harrisburg, N.C. – Aston Properties will develop Caldwell Crossing in Harrisburg, North Carolina, a 85,000-square-foot center that will open in late fall 2015. Construction has already begun on the center, which will be anchored by a Harris Teeter grocery store and will include up to 26,000 square feet of small shops. In addition to Harris Teeter and the shops, the center will include two outparcels on University Boulevard.
The 53,000-square-foot Harris Teeter store will have a drive-up pharmacy window and express lane ordering and a Starbucks Coffee. The store will be built with green building features such as a white reflective energy-efficient roof, motion detection lighting and low-flow faucets. Lauren Hansen of Aston Properties is handling leasing. The buildings were designed by Childrey Robinson and will feature heavy masonry facades with decorative towers. The project engineer is Jeff Orsborn of Orsborn Engineering.
