Boardman and Gibson Form New Company, The Vireo Group

Augusta, Ga. — Previously, Gibson was a managing partner of Hull Storey Gibson Cos. for 15 years.

Clay Boardman and John Gibson have formed The Vireo Group to provide commercial retail leasing, management and development services. Prior to forming the Vireo Group with Clay Boardman, Gibson was a managing partner of Hull Storey Gibson Cos. for 15 years, where he was responsible for the acquisition, financing, development, construction, redevelopment, leasing and management of retail properties and contributed to the growth of the portfolio to 13 million square feet in eight states. Prior to this most recent venture, Boardman was a principal and senior vice president of development for Hull Storey Gibson Cos. Before joining Hull Storey Gibson, Boardman served more than 30 years as the CEO of Boardman Petroleum and Charter-Triad Terminals.

The Vireo Group’s efforts will be led by Julie Teague, who previously served as a vice president of development at Hull Storey Gibson and as a director of operations at EDENS, where she was responsible for the leasing and management of a 10 million-square-foot retail portfolio. Joining Teague on the leasing team will be Mark Pritchett and Ralph Kitchens. Pritchett brings more than 10 years of experience leasing retail properties, where his work has included landlord representation for enclosed regional shopping malls, grocery store anchored shopping centers and free-standing retail buildings. Kitchens, with Nichols Land & Investment Company, has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial brokerage and management business.
