King of Prussia, Pa. — German discount grocer Aldi will open a 19,230-square-foot store at the 119,000-square-foot King of Prussia Center, located 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia in Montgomery County. Jeffrey Cohen and Nelson Wax of CBRE represented the landlord, D&P Associates, in the lease negotiations. The family-owned business developed the mall beginning in the 1980s.

Denver — Confluent Development and Kelmore Development have broken ground on The Boulevard at Lowry, a commercial mixed-use redevelopment project in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood. Situated on 1.5 acres, the infill development will feature 140,000 square feet of restaurant, retail and office space. A 25,000-square-foot Lucky’s Market will anchor the property. Additional tenants will include a 1,750-square-foot Logan House Coffee Co. Completion is scheduled for fourth-quarter 2020.

The multimillion-dollar redevelopment will include a 55,000-square-foot Hobby Lobby, 20,000-square-foot Northern Tool + Supply, a 103-room hotel and an Allure Nail & Spa. Miami — Miami Worldcenter Associates has broken ground on a 50,000-square-foot retail project and a 922-space parking garage within its namesake development, the $4 billion Miami Worldcenter, which is located in the city’s downtown area. The street-level retail space and new parking structure will front NE 7th Street and will ultimately be part of Miami Worldcenter’s 300,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space. San Antonio — A partnership between CSW Development and USAA Real Estate will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for La Cantera Heights, a new retail center in northwest San Antonio, on Wednesday, May 1. Construction of the first phase will begin immediately after the event. The current tenant roster — which will include restaurant, fitness and boutique retailers —will be announced at the ceremony. Alamo Architects is designing the project; Metropolitan Construction is serving as the general contractor; and JLL is handling leasing.
RD Management to Redevelop Shopping Center in Muskegon, Michigan Into Mixed-Use Project
Muskegon, Mich. — RD Management LLC has unveiled plans to redevelop Muskegon Shopping Center located at 3530 Henry St. in western Michigan. The project will include removal of the 134,874-square-foot building formerly occupied by Kmart, renovation of the 32,338 square feet of adjacent retail space and the construction of five residential buildings totaling 126 units. Demolition of the Kmart building will begin in late spring. New York City — Foot Locker will open a 25,000-square-foot store at 605 W. 181st St. in Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood. The locally based athletic footwear retailer will treat this location as a “power store” that offers experiential activities like creating customized sneakers and gaming zones. The store is set to open this fall. New York-based Marx Realty owns the property in which the store will be housed.
Watchung, N.J. — Cinemark Holdings Inc. has opened a 10-screen theater at 1670 Route 22 East in Watchung, located 30 miles west of New York City. The theater will feature wall-to-wall screens, oversized recliners, reserved seating services and a party room for private events. The venue will be the third in the state for Cinemark, which currently operates 546 theaters across 41 states and various Latin American countries.
Chicago — Retailers have begun opening at Addison & Clark, a mixed-use project located across the street from Chicago’s Wrigley Field. The lineup includes a 10,000-square-foot Harley Davidson showroom; a 30,000-square-foot Lucky Strike Social, a combination bowling alley, arcade and event venue; the city’s first Beerhead Bar and Eatery; Shake Shack; and Do-Rite Donuts and Chicken. Tenants yet to open include Cargo Food Authority, Cinemex CMX Cinemas, Kilwins and a 32,000-square-foot health club.
