Trinity, Fla. — A partnership between two developers, Alabama-based Blackwater Real Estate and Tennessee-based Hutton, has completed The Village at Mitchell Ranch, a 161,000-square-foot shopping center near Tampa. A 30,0000-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market anchors the property, which is located at the intersection of State Route 54 and Little Road in Trinity. Other anchors include HomeGoods, Michaels, Five Below, Skechers and Ulta Beauty. Restaurant users include Burger King, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panda Express, with more to be announced in the coming months.

Orlando, Fla. — Tavistock Development Co. has signed three leases with fitness studios to occupy space within Pixon, a 200-unit apartment complex with 32,500 square feet of retail space in Lake Nona Town Center. Neighborhood barre, Club Pilates and Rukus Cycling Studios are expected to open by the end of this year. Neighborhood barre will span 1,300 square feet. San Francisco — The San Francisco Planning Commission has unanimously approved plans to redevelop the historic Flower Mart in the city’s South of Market (SoMa) district as a 2.3 million-square-foot mixed-use property. Kilroy Realty Corp. is leading the development, which will preserve and update the 115,000-square-foot Flower Mart, while also adding 2.1 million square feet of creative office space, a 100,000-square-foot retail market hall and one acre of public open space. Waco, Texas — Houston-based NewQuest Properties has broken ground on Cottonwood Creek Market, a 143-acre entertainment retail project in Waco. Located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Loop 340, the development will span 285,000 square feet. A 14-screen Cinemark theater will anchor the project, and NewQuest is in talks to add a bowling and family dining concept, as well as a national retailer in golf entertainment. Garden City, N.Y. — Century 21 Stores will open a new department store at Roosevelt Field in Garden City. The 68,000-square-foot store is expected to open in spring 2021. Century 21 will be housed in the space currently occupied by Bloomingdale’s Furniture, which will be consolidating into the newly renovated Bloomingdale’s store.
