According to Forbes, Westfield Garden State Plaza remains one of the best-performing regional malls in the country. Riverton, Utah — CenterCal Properties has completed the final phase of development at Mountain View Village, a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use property located in Riverton, roughly 20 miles south of Salt Lake City. Kraus-Anderson Completes Scheels Store at Dakota Square Mall in North Dakota

Minot, N.D. — Kraus-Anderson has completed construction of a 110,000-square-foot Scheels store at Dakota Square Mall in Minot. Designed by R.L. Engrebretson Architecture, the $20.6 million project involved the remodeling of an 85,000-square-foot former Sears store combined with a 25,000-square-foot space for a conference room, classroom and offices. The store offers a selection of sports gear, clothing and shoes. Shoppers can also enjoy Ginna’s Café, which serves soups, sandwiches and coffee, and Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory, which sells homemade fudge.

WS Development Unveils Plans for Redevelopment of Boston Retail Property

Boston — WS Development has unveiled plans for the redevelopment of The Street, a retail property in Boston’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood. The centerpiece of the project will involve the repositioning of the three-story, 90,000-square-foot building at 27 Boylston St. to house new retailers and restaurants, as well as office space and outdoor communal areas. The project team will also upgrade the existing landscaping, architecture and public spaces. WS Development is designing the project in partnership with global architecture firm Sasaki. Completion is slated for 2023.

Milton, Fla. — Branch Properties has signed two restaurants to join the tenant roster at Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates, a 66,912-square-foot shopping center under construction in Milton, a Florida Panhandle city located about 24 miles east of Pensacola. The Atlanta-based developer plans to open the Publix-anchored center later this summer. The new eateries joining Merganser Commons include RibCrib, a fast-casual barbecue restaurant that will occupy 4,750 square feet, and Teriyaki Madness, an Asian concept. Philadelphia — Josh Harris and David Blitzer, managing directors of the National Basketball Association’s Philadelphia 76ers, have formed a development corporation for construction of the team’s new arena, known as 76 Place, in Center City Philadelphia. Development costs are estimated at $1.3 billion, with plans to complete construction before the 2031-2032 NBA season.
