Veritas Development Begins Signing Tenants to 20-Acre OAK Project in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City — Veritas Development’s OAK, a 20-acre mixed-use project currently under development in Oklahoma City, has attracted tenants including RH, a home furnishing store; Arhaus, a furniture and design store; and Capital Grille, a steakhouse. RH will occupy 42,000 square feet, Arhaus will lease 17,000 square feet and Capital Grille will open a 10,000-square-foot restaurant. Additionally, Veritas has announced a 132-key boutique hotel in partnership with Gatehouse Capital, and 320 multifamily homes in collaboration with Mintwood Real Estate. Centennial Expands Redevelopment Plans for Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, Illinois

Vernon Hills, Ill. — Dallas-based real estate firm Centennial has revealed plans to expand on its Hawthorn 2.0 redevelopment of Hawthorn Mall, a super-regional shopping center in Vernon Hills, a northern suburb of Chicago. Built in 1973, the mall currently houses over 120 retailers. Centennial first announced the redevelopment of Hawthorn Mall in 2019, which included new retail and dining options, luxury multifamily housing and indoor/outdoor gathering spaces. Located near the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station at 1850 Reston Row Plaza in Reston, Puttshack will be the project’s first active entertainment venue when it opens in summer 2025. Topgolf to Open 68,000-Square-Foot Entertainment Venue in Cranston, Rhode Island

Cranston, R.I. — Topgolf will open a 68,000-square-foot venue at 100 Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston, approximately 5 miles outside of Providence. Carpionato Group owns the site and is leading development of the multi-level facility, which will be the first in Rhode Island for the Dallas-based entertainment concept. Construction is underway and expected to be complete before the end of 2023.

Naperville, Ill. — Newcastle Properties is set to begin construction on an 8,300-square-foot, multi-tenant outlot building and a 3,260-square-foot endcap space at Eastgate Crossing in the Chicago suburb of Naperville. The new development will be home to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and NaanSense, an Indian fast-casual chain. Teaneck, N.J. — Alfred Sanzari Enterprises will open Marketplace, a 3,350-square-foot food hall in the Northern New Jersey community of Teaneck. Located within the firm’s 670,000-square-foot Glenpointe campus, Marketplace has already received commitments from concepts such as kosher deli Ma’adan, Colombian coffee shop Coffeecol, French-inspired Balthazar Bakery and ice cream maker Sip N Swirl. Weitzman Completes Renovation of 162,925-Square-Foot Retail Center in Suburban Dallas

Richardson, Texas — Weitzman has completed the renovation of Dal-Rich Towne Square, a 162,925-square-foot retail center located in the northeastern Dallas suburb of Richardson. A 50,000-square-foot Cottonwood Market anchors the center. Other tenants include Jason’s Deli, Little Caesars and McDonald’s. Weitzman upgraded various aesthetic components and amenity spaces at Dal Rich Towne Square, which was originally built in 1965, and implemented a new digital marketing program for the center and individual tenants.
