(NYSE: HHC) and chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten have opened the Tin Building by Jean-Georges, a 53,000-square-foot food hall at Pier 17 at the Seaport in Lower Manhattan. The new culinary destination is an adaptive reuse of the Tin Building, a historic waterfront property that once served as the site of the Fulton Fish Market. Charlotte, N.C. — CBRE has announced plans for the renovation and rebranding of EpiCentre, a 302,324-square-foot mixed-use development in uptown Charlotte. Significant improvements are currently underway, including repairs to the property’s courtyard, parking garage, patios and roof. The development originally opened in 2008 and is to be renamed Queen City Quarter. Kivett Williams and Kris Westmoreland of CBRE are the exclusive marketing and leasing agents for the retail and office spaces respectively.
New York City — Five Iron Golf will open a 30,000-square-foot entertainment center at 101 Park Ave. in Manhattan. The space will house the concept’s signature golf simulators, widescreen TVs, leisure games and a full-service restaurant and bar. Anthony Dattoma of CBRE and Jason Goode of Compass Real Estate represented Five Iron Golf in the lease negotiations. High 5 Entertainment to Open 70,000-Square-Foot Venue at Mixed-Use Development in Suburban Dallas
Allen, Texas — High 5 Entertainment, an Austin-based concept, will open an 70,000-square-foot venue at The Farm in Allen, a 135-acre mixed-use development located on the northeastern outskirts of Dallas. In addition to craft food and beverages, the entertainment center will feature bowling, laser tag, axe throwing, escape rooms, minigolf and private event spaces. The main facility will span 45,000 square feet, with the outdoor minigolf course accounting for the remaining 25,000 square feet. The opening is slated for fall 2023. JaRyCo is the master developer of The Farm in Allen.
Cutler Bay, Fla. — A few months after purchasing the former Southland Mall site in Cutler Bay for $100.4 million, owners Electra America (and affiliate American Landmark) and BH Group have unveiled plans for their $1 billion redevelopment of the 80-acre campus in Cutler Bay, approximately 30 miles south of Miami. Burlington, Mass. — Casimir Groblewski and Colin Monahan of Fantini & Gorga have arranged a $12.5 million mortgage for an undisclosed client. The financing — secured through a financial institution based in the Greater Boston area — is for the redevelopment of One Wheeler Road in Burlington. The new development, to be named Gateway Burlington, will replace an existing structure and feature a modern design with over 22,000 square feet of leasable space. Construction has begun on the project, which is scheduled for completion later this year.
Columbus, Ohio — Lucky’s Market will join the tenant lineup at Thurber Village, a shopping center in Columbus undergoing redevelopment to include both retail and residential space. Lucky’s, a family-owned independent grocery store, will offer a mix of natural foods, fruits and vegetables. CASTO has owned Thurber Village since 2005. Redevelopment plans call for a 13,000-square-foot CVS/pharmacy store, a 21,000-square-foot Lucky’s store and 225 apartment units. The new CVS store will replace an existing CVS location. Construction is expected to begin this fall.
Lansing, Mich. — Gillespie Group has unveiled plans to redevelop a former Sears Roebuck location at 3131 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. The property is being marketed as ROECO, a retail and entertainment destination. Specific redevelopment plans have yet to be finalized. The name ROECO is a nod to Sears Roebuck, which occupied the property for 66 years. Most recently, Sparrow Health System utilized the site for COVID testing.
