Frederick, Md. — X-Golf America will open a 13,414-square-foot entertainment venue in Frederick, marking the company’s largest location to date. Situated within the 200,000-square-foot Westview Promenade, the store is scheduled to open this month. In addition to eight indoor golf simulators, the venue will feature full-service sports bar and restaurant. Ashley Zito and Danielle Bridge represented the landlord, Hill Management Services, in the lease transaction on an internal basis. Topgolf Breaks Ground on Two-Level Venue in Greensboro, North Carolina

Greensboro, N.C. — Topgolf has broken ground on a new, two-level venue located in Greensboro. Upon completion, the site will comprise 72 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays, with each bay featuring lounge furniture or high-top tables. Additionally, the venue will include a full-service restaurant, private event rooms and an outdoor area with yard games. The opening is scheduled for late 2024.

PENN Entertainment Breaks Ground on $185 Million Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois

Joliet, Ill. — PENN Entertainment has broken ground on the $185 million Hollywood Casino Joliet at RockRun Collection in Joliet. The casino will anchor RockRun Collection, a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development that is under construction. Cullinan Properties is the owner and developer for the 310-acre project. The land-based casino will feature approximately 850 slots and 44 live table games, including a baccarat room, retail sportsbook, bars and restaurants, and an approximately 10,000-square-foot event center with meeting areas. Scheduled to open summer 2024 and marking the 13th location for the brand, Flight Club D.C. will be situated within 655 New York, a 756,000-square-foot mixed-use development. Other tenants at 655 New York, which features 79,000 square feet of retail space, include Rumi’s Kitchen, Capital Burger, Pearl’s Bagels, Kinship, Metier and Compass Coffee.

Mobile, Ala. — Topgolf has opened a new venue in Mobile, Alabama, marking the third in the state for the brand. Situated within McGowan Park Shopping Center, the venue features 60 outdoor, climate-controlled hitting bays across two levels, as well as a full-service restaurant, 22-foot video wall and more than 100 TVs. According to the company, Topgolf Mobile will employ roughly 200 associates and is the 95th outdoor Topgolf venue in the country.
