Northridge, Calif. — NewMark Merrill Cos. has acquired Corbin & Parthenia, an 83,668-square-foot retail center located in Northridge, roughly 30 miles outside Los Angeles. The buyer plans to invest in maintenance and upgrades to the property. Jim Patton and Greg Giacopuzzi of NewMark Merrill arranged the transaction, in collaboration with Greg Offsay and Carol Marmor of Illi Commercial.

Kissimmee, Fla. — SRS Real Estate Partners has brokered the $28.4 million sale of WaterStar Orlando, a 79,680-square-foot shopping center under construction in Kissimmee, roughly 18 miles outside Orlando. Equinox Development Properties is the seller and developer of the center, which is scheduled to open within the next few months. Marshalls, Burlington and pOpshelf will anchor the property, which will also house Noire Nail Bar and Keke’s Breakfast Café. An entity doing business as Orlando 22 LLC purchased the center. Bossier City, La. — The Cordish Cos. has announced an agreement to acquire Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel, located in Bossier City in northwest Louisiana. Subject to approval by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, Cordish plans to redevelop the property into a casino resort and entertainment destination. Closed since March 2020, the development will be the first in the state of Louisiana under Cordish’s Live! brand, which offers dining, entertainment, casino, hotel and sports-anchored entertainment spaces. The multilevel, mixed-use building is located on a six-acre site at 2200 Richmond Road.
